1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Atapata (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and HydraLabs, the sole proprietorship that operates Atapata, based in Karachi, Pakistan.

2. Who Can Use Atapata

You may use Atapata if:

  • You are at least 13 years old
  • You provide accurate, complete information when creating your account
  • You have not previously been suspended or removed from the Service
  • Your use complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

One person may not maintain multiple accounts. Duplicate accounts may be merged or removed without notice.

3. What Atapata Does

Atapata provides digital business card creation, sharing, and contact management for professionals. Core features include:

  • Creating and sharing digital business cards via link, QR code, or NFC tap
  • Scanning physical business cards using AI-powered OCR to save contacts
  • Attaching voice memos to saved contacts
  • Ordering custom-engraved physical NFC cards delivered within Pakistan
  • Viewing analytics on how your cards are being viewed and saved

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect your use of the Service.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on Atapata — your cards, contact data, photos, and voice memos.

By using the Service, you grant HydraLabs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and serve your content solely to provide the Service to you and the people you choose to share with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to upload any photos, logos, or other content
  • Not uploading content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or offensive
  • Not impersonating another person, organisation, or entity in your cards
  • Ensuring that contact data you store about other people was obtained with their knowledge (e.g., they gave you their business card)

You may delete your content at any time. Deleting your account removes all your content within 60 days.

5. Your Account Can Be Suspended Or Terminated

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape or bulk-extract data
  • Use the Service in a way that harms other users or third parties

In cases of serious breach, we may act without prior notice. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

6. Physical NFC Cards

6.1 Pricing

NFC card prices are listed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) within the app. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice. The price shown at the time you confirm your order is the price you pay.

6.2 Delivery

We currently deliver within Pakistan only. Estimated delivery is 5–7 business days from dispatch. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Atapata is not responsible for delays or losses caused by third-party courier services once an order has been dispatched. Risk of loss passes to you upon handoff to the courier.

6.3 Sales Are Final

Because NFC cards are custom products made to order, all sales are final once production has begun — typically within 24 hours of payment confirmation. See our Refund Policy for the limited exceptions that apply when a card arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly engraved.

6.4 Custom Engraving

You are responsible for the accuracy of the name, title, and other details you submit for engraving. We will produce the card exactly as submitted. If you notice an error in your order details, contact us at support@atapata.app immediately — we may be able to correct it before production begins.

7. Service Availability

Atapata is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may take the Service offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We will try to give advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

8. Payments

All payments are processed by Safepay, a licensed payment service provider. Atapata does not store, see, or have access to your payment card details — they are handled entirely by Safepay. Safepay's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction.

In the event of a billing error, contact us at support@atapata.app and we will investigate promptly.

9. Service Ownership

Atapata and all related software, designs, trademarks, and content (excluding your own content) are owned by HydraLabs. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our written permission.

10. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HydraLabs and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or PKR 5,000 — whichever is greater.

11. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.

Before filing a formal dispute, we encourage you to contact us at support@atapata.app — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.

12. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
